In the Garden

Artist Statement 2019: The ORIGINS Art Practice
At the center of my art is the attention to the woman, as the embodiment of the feminine, and her desire to reveal the most ancient of religious practices, as well as the innermost secrets of our collective human experience.
The metaphors of personified gods and goddesses which the ancients describe are so universal, in fact, that I find them once again, for example, in my experience of the indigenous peoples of tha Amazon basin. These are people whose experience, cultural wealth and knowledge oppose what is our collective wounds and neurosis, at the heart of our dysfunction.
